A little deeper?
Here is an in-depth commentary on each of the 37 practices
and how to implement them in your life. Recorded during a retreat 2006
The 37 Practices divided into four distinct sections:
the foundations for practice,
what to do about anger,
the six perfections,
and how to live the practice.
How to deeply appreciate and approach reading sacred text
Read very slowly, quietly, with openhearted kindness.
Stop/pause/ take a minute /pay attention to what is being said
When you intuitively know that there is something to recognize, Stop/pause again....
Let go of attempting to conceptualize the meaning of all the words.
Pay attention to what happens to you as you read.
See what resonates in you.
When you feel a shift (or change) within, pause and rest in that-
Put the book down and rest in it for a while.
Let go of thinking and just rest.
Simply rest in the ambiance of what has occurred intuitively.
The words may lead you into areas of Awareness which are beyond to the conceptual mind.
Read, Pause, Relax...
